This privacy policy applies to the Impel mobile application (the "Application") and the website located at impelsporting.com (the "Website"), which are owned and operated by Impel Sporting LLC ("Service Provider," "we," "us," or "our"). This service is provided as a Free service and is intended for use "AS IS."
1. Information Collection and Use
To provide a functional matchmaking and tournament experience, we collect several types of information:
Personally Identifiable Information: While using our Application or Website, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, email address, user ID, age, and gender.
Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with our services, such as your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, operating system, the specific pages or features you visit, and the time and date of your use.
Location Data: The Application collects real-time geolocation data. This is used to provide core features such as finding local sports matches, personalized content, and location-based recommendations. You can opt out of location sharing via your device settings, though some features may become unavailable.
2. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We utilize trusted third-party service providers to facilitate our services, perform service-related actions, or assist us in analyzing how our service is used. These third parties have access to your information only to perform these tasks on our behalf:
Backend & Database: We utilize Supabase to securely store user profiles and application data.
Analytics & Performance: We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to monitor app stability and user trends.
Mapping: We use Google Maps API to facilitate location-based matchmaking.
Payments: All financial transactions are processed through Stripe. We do not store or collect your payment card details on our servers; that information is provided directly to Stripe, whose use of your personal information is governed by their own Privacy Policy.
3. Account Deletion (Apple/Google Compliance)
We respect your right to control your data. You may delete your account and all associated personal data at any time:
In-App: Navigate to the Settings menu within the Application to initiate an account deletion.
Online: Visit impelsporting.com/accountdeletion to also delete your account.
Email: Contact us at impelsporting@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." We will process your request and remove all non-legally required data within a reasonable timeframe.
4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take necessary actions.
5. Data Retention Policy
We will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
6. Security
The security of your personal information is important to us. We implement physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information we process; however, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes.
